As an advocate of Mental Toughness, he has helped people from all walks of life and he pointed out that there’s a misconception regarding mental health as compared to mental toughness. He explains that mental toughness is different as it refers to how someone goes through challenges and adversities in life yet come back up on top. Whereas, mental health refers to the mental state of mind which is often related to depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses.

Living in today’s day and age, Yu Jin stated that, we are more protected than ever. We are more afraid of failing and being overly dependent on technology for everything, hence, we are often gratified by just browsing on our phones, watching a movie or even checking for likes on our social media accounts. He further chimes that, as proven in research, the more you fail the more mentally tough you become.
