They say that Eid al-Fitr is celebrated for a month and therefore for most Malaysians, their weekends are packed with open houses organised by their families, friends and workplace. With that thought in mind, we at Primal would like to take this opportunity to grace Malaysians with a few road safety reminders to ensure a safe and happy journey:

1.  Wear your seatbelts: Should you (God forbid) meet with an accident, that seatbelt could help secure your body and save you from sustaining major and/or minor injuries.

2. Your mobile phones can wait: Your mobile phones serve as nothing but a distraction whilst you’re driving, and surely your safety as well as your family’s are worth more than the need to scroll through your Instagram feed or replying a text message.

3. Try adhering to the speed limit: We know that it’s thrilling to drive fast and the temptation is strong, especially when you’re on the highway but while driving fast may shave off some minutes in your travel time, it comes with big risks such as traffic fines as well as accidents.

4. Take breaks during long drives: It’s immensely important for you to not only be alert while driving, but to be well-rested as you’re carrying precious ‘cargoes’ in your vehicle: other people’s lives. So, should you find yourself yawning, go ahead and take a break!

There you go; some tips to ensure you’ll have a safe journey whenever you’re on the road this festive season. But if you’d like to know more, feel free to click on these links: here and here. Selamat Eid al-Fitr, Malaysians, and stay safe!
