Sepang International Circuit - What’s New?
Speeding Your Fantasies To Reality
By Wy Yee Chan
As Malaysians, we’re sure you have heard of the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) which once hosted the Formula 1 Race. However, due to the decline in the popularity of the sport in our region, F1 races are no longer hosted in Malaysia anymore. So, one may ask, what will become of the Sepang International Circuit which was once a major landmark in Malaysia since its inception in 1999 by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad? Well, we are happy to share that the circuit has been repurposed and is open to public. It really is like a dream come true for racing enthusiasts!
To all racing junkies out there, you can now turn your dreams into reality by gathering your fellow racers and rent the track for a minimum of half a day. If that isn’t you but you still marvel and are impressed by the grandeur of the monumental F1 track, you can also book it for photo or commercial shoots. To top that off, you can also rent it for private events. From time to time, SIC also hosts Open Track Day for the public. This allows anyone to have a taste of what it feels like racing on the track.
We are sure SIC can give you an adrenaline-filled event experience like no other. Why wait? You can get more info here or just contact them to check date availability and start planning your event/race today!
